Practiced both as a Barrister and Queen's Counsel from Lamb Chambers, Temple (where he remains an Associate Member) in all forms of contractual and tortious dispute, professional negligence, sports injuries, product liability, insurance, ultimately specializing in personal injury and clinical malpractice.

As a judge has exercised unlimited civil jurisdiction, including practice, procedure, evidence, interpretation of statutes, commercial & construction contracts, damages, elections, employment, fundamental human rights, judicial review, professional negligence, registered land, legal and beneficial property interests, boundary disputes, planning, probate, trade marks, fishery rights, disciplinary hearings.
